Sandra Calado Lori

Sandra Calado Lori is a Portuguese artist trained in Life Modelling for Sculpture at the Academy of Arts of Barcelona, Drawing at the National Society of Fine Arts (SNBA) in Lisbon, and Ceramic Glazes at Ar.Co – Centre for Art and Visual Communication.

Her academic background includes a degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Criminal Psychology and Social Exclusion.

Over the last decade, she has combined her professional practice in psychology with artistic production, developing works for private collections. In 2024, she founded Sandra Calado Lori Studio, dedicated to her sculptural and ceramic practice.

In 2025, she was awarded the First Prize for Sculpture at the Vila Galé Sculpture Prize with the work Rir de ri, quando se ri, fica tudo descoberto (When One Laughs, Everything Is Revealed). In the same year, she presented a solo exhibition at the José Luís Peixoto Interpretation Centre in Galveias and participated in group exhibitions at Zaratan Arte Contemporânea, the Sardoal Cultural Centre and Casa Caus. She was also invited to take part in the second edition of Ceramic Art Oeiras.

In 2026, she participated in the group exhibition We Mind at Safra, Lisbon. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Safra, a multidisciplinary creative studio.
