Thank You for an Unforgettable Inauguration!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for the inauguration of Atelier Luis Carballo. Your presence made a memorable day filled with warm embraces and meaningful conversations.

What a celebration it was! That afternoon, to our delight, Marvila transformed into a lively hub of festivity. Thanks to you, our opening was a resounding success despite unexpected traffic jams.

Your support has left us inspired—our hearts are full!

This exhibition also marked a significant moment for Miríade, the body of work Luís has developed since 2023. His photographs evolve into enthralling patterns—a striking interplay of geometry, architecture, perspective, and dimension.

The distinctive aesthetics of Luís's creations resonate deeply with Charles Baudelaire's idea of thresholds—not just the physical boundaries that divide space but the conceptual ones that invite us into new realms of perception.

During the inauguration, several thought-provoking questions emerged—ones that we believe unite us through their openness rather than definite answers. Here are some that remarkably stayed with us:

Are we limited by what we want to see?

What patterns shape and guide our lives?

Can true balance ever be achieved?

Is it the tension between opposing forces that transforms a creation into art?

The pieces from the October exhibition Apology for Balance have now found their new homes, and Luis is already hard at work creating new ones.

These works are best experienced in person. Each piece invites attention and wonder, encouraging us to pause and truly see.

We warmly invite you to visit us!

You can arrange a private viewing with us any day of the week or drop by between Wednesday and Saturday from 3 PM to 7 PM.

Meanwhile, our pop-up gallery space, Módulo Twist, is taking shape. It is a new platform for contemporary art in Lisbon, dedicated and designed for both galleries and artists, and we can't wait to share more about it with you.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

See you soon!
